Leo Vegas casino Ban

Last month Leo Vegas online casino left Australian field following online betting ban. In August 2017 Australia officially passed the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill 2016. The revised legislature made online casino games, including poker, illegal, which has prompted a number of operators  such as 32Red Casino and 888 Casino  to leave the market. Thus, any off-shore site that offers the game will have to refrain from allowing Australian casino players from playing the game on their sites.

Leo Vegas is the Sweden-based betting brand and ceased its online gambling operations in Australia from September 10th 2017. This drastic change has left Aussie gambler in a haze because their favourite casino games will not be available to them. In days to come more off-shore casino operators will have to leave the gambling market because there are penalties.

Since gamblers will not have access to safe and regulated platforms to play their online casino games, they might opt for untrustworthy sites. With such a drastic change to the country’s online wagering laws, the market was hit hard. Players are already seeing their poker, gaming, and bingo options, among many others, being taken away.

Other online casinos that have left Australia

Vera&John were the first to leave when the discussions about the bill were introduced late last year. Other service providers such as 888, 32Red mentioned above, PokerStars and Partypoker followed suit. Genesis Global Limited has also advised their associates to leave the online gambling market in Australia and have tagged the country as “restricted territory.”

The government in Australia had given providers 30 days, (up to the end of August 2017) for them to finish their business in the country before the bill takes full effect. As a result, last month of September more and more casinos were seen leaving the gambling market in Australia.

Leo Vegas Casino asked punters to end their activity

Leo Vegas has reportedly also told its associates that the revenue share created by users in Australia will stop being part of their monthly figures. Further to this, LeoVegas has allegedly recommended that Australian partners put an end to any activity aimed at Australian users.

Leo Vegas casino is one of the best reputed online casino having to its side many awards and recognitions like ‘Mobile Operator of the Year’ EGR Nordic Awards 2016; ‘Casino Operator of the Year’ EGR Nordic Awards 2017 and ‘Online Casino Operator of the Year’ International Gaming Awards 2017. This casino is best known for its mobile gaming because a player can use the Leo Vegas app to play games both on their Android and iPhone. More over the section of games is loaded with many top notch gaming providers. But all this will be surely missed by the Aussie punters.
